What beaches in Ayia Napa should you choose for relaxation or at least visit while you are on vacation in Cyprus?
Ayia Napa was a fishing village in its youth, like many of these resorts. And until 1974 she did not stand out in anything special. But after the emergence of the Turkish zone, its neighbor, the city of Famagusta, fell into desolation, and its luxurious resort suburb of Varosha became a dead city. And Ayia Napa did not get confused, took over the baton and turned it into the most popular resort in Cyprus, famous for its nightlife and the best beaches in the Greek part of Cyprus.
But since we are talking about a purely beach holiday, this is actually possible only in October. This is the end of the season and the number of party-goers is sharply decreasing, which has two consequences at once. Firstly, you can find quite quiet hotels or apartments, and secondly, it becomes much more spacious on the beaches and you can really relax. The water temperature is about 25 degrees, and the air temperature is 25-30 on average.

The most interesting beaches
Holidays in Ayia Napa with children are primarily associated with hotels, which have all the conditions for relaxing with a child, and you should not neglect the beaches and their features.
Agia Thekla - the first on the list and perhaps the most suitable for young children. It is located 6 km from the center and therefore there are few people here. The beach is small, the sand is golden, the water is knee-deep to a low rocky ridge that blocks the path of the waves. It will be interesting not only for children. Nearby, on a hill, is the wonderful church of the Holy Healer Thekla. Next to the church, just below the entrance to the cave, carved into the rock.
Makronissos - the second most popular beach, but many call it the best in Ayia Napa. In fact, these are two beaches: east and west. They are separated by a small cape. The eastern one is much better. Golden almost white sand, according to many, the most beautiful in Cyprus, the entrance to the water is gentle.
In addition, it is protected from the wind by the cape and is almost always calm here. And in the west there are quite strong waves. Near Makronissos there is an archaeological site where 19 rock tombs more than 2000 years old have been excavated.
Neighboring beach Landa... It is also called the Golden Beach for the color of the sand. Popular with locals and gets crowded on weekends. It is often calm in the morning, later there is a wave.
The most popular beach is two kilometers long. Nissi Bay... It is a youthful and bustling beach with lots of fun. The word Nissi means an island and it really is in front of the beach. Many people love to jump into the water from a cliff on it. But this beach has a lot of seaweed in summer.
And the most convenient beach for visiting is Pantahu Beach... It is a long sandy spit with a gentle entrance and amazingly clear clear water. Even without a mask, stones are visible at the bottom.
