The village with a sandy beach near Poti is not as famous as Batumi, but Grigoleti has many fans. I'm talking about prices for holidays in 2021. Find out what beaches in the resort and what attractions are in the area.
Resort experience
Not only Ureki and Shekvetili can boast of sandy beaches! The small resort village of Grigoleti lies 16 km south of Poti. There are tall pine trees and a spacious sandy coast. Every year new hotels and cottages appear at the Georgian resort, the infrastructure is developing.
In Grigoleti I like the cozy atmosphere and a truly rustic idyll. It's nice to swim in the warm sea, sit in a cafe on the shore and admire the colorful Black Sea sunsets!
Other tourists are also delighted with Grigoleti. See how they feel about the village:
Yulia: "You have no idea what a wonderful place it is. It is so dear and warm. It draws here again and again. The sea is amazing. In June the water is like fresh milk."
Olga Mazurenko: "Healing air filled with the aroma of pine needles. The sea is stunning, gentle, although not entirely transparent water. The only disappointment was the absence of at least some bearable infrastructure, there was only one shop where there was no choice of food and drinks."
What sea and beaches
In Grigoleti, a wide coastal strip is covered with a mixture of fine gray sand and rounded pebbles. It is more convenient to swim in aquashuse! The entrance to the sea is gentle and safe. Almost all holidaymakers note that they constantly take out garbage ashore. They try to remove it, but piles remain here and there.
dalari: "Grigoleti itself is nothing interesting - a long row of houses along the road. But for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday by the sea, this is quite the right place."

Hotels in Grigoleti
The level of housing prices in Grigoleti in 2021 is one of the lowest in Georgia. Don't look for an all-inclusive vacation or full board in this resort!
In high season, a double room in a guest house costs 1000-1300 rubles per day, in a hotel with a swimming pool - 1400-1700 rubles, in a 3 * hotel - 2200 rubles, and in a 4 * hotel with breakfast - 4000 rubles. Look for hotels and guest houses in Grigoleti on the Hotelluk service, the best of them according to tourists' reviews:
- Kolkheti Inn - from 1187 ₽ / day
- Guest House Guriani - from 1305 ₽ / day
- Green House - from 1661 ₽ / day
- SPA "Villa Reta" - from 1661 ₽ / day.
Food prices
There are few cafes and restaurants in Grigoleti, so tourists prefer hotels where breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared for guests, or rent apartments with a kitchen. Food prices practically do not differ from other sea resorts in Georgia. You can have a hearty lunch for two for 20-25 GEL. Georgian pickles cost 5 GEL, salad of tomatoes and cucumbers with nuts - 6 GEL, fried fish - 10-12 GEL, cheese platter - 4-6 GEL, and kharcho - 4.5 GEL.
In shops you will buy a liter bottle of Borjomi for 1.1 lari, a bottle of Georgian lemonade for 2 lari, and Khvanchkara or Tvishi wine for 25 lari. Georgian wines on tap cost 5-15 GEL per 1 liter.

Iris2002: "The place itself is cool, quiet, calm, lots of greenery, which creates shade. There is where to buy food, even homemade, including unforgettable homemade Georgian wine."
What to see and do
If you come to the sea with a company for barbecue or for a beach holiday with your family, Grigoleti will be to your taste. There are no entertainment centers, nightclubs and attractions in the village. For fans of parties, Batumi and Kobuleti are more suitable.

We advise you to get to know the locals! In Grigoleti there is a community of Old Believers who preserve the old way of life and traditions.
It is not far from the village to the Kolkheti National Park and Poti sights. According to reviews, from Grigoleti tourists willingly go on excursions to Gori, Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Prometheus cave, Okatse canyon and Kinchkha waterfall. Prices for one-day tours start at $ 30.
Vacation with children
Grigoleti is ideal for families with little ones. There is a good ecology, picturesque pine forest and a large sandy and pebble beach. According to statistics, the sea water in Grigoleti is the warmest on the entire Black Sea coast of Georgia.
The disadvantages are that this Georgian resort has no children's entertainment and shops with goods for children. For everything you need you will have to go to Poti, Kobuleti or Batumi.
Ekaterina: "Guest House Guriani is an excellent hotel, wonderful territory. We were with a child 5 years old. Lots of toys and a pool. Own sandy beach, sun loungers, clean, tidy. There is an excellent cafe on the territory where they cook very tasty. If you don't want to go to a cafe , there is a fully equipped kitchen. "
When is the best time to go
Grigoleti is a beach resort. The swimming season in Georgia lasts from May to October, but most tourists come to the sea in summer. In July and August, many Georgians rest in the village.
If you can't stand hot weather, plan a vacation in Grigoleti in June or the first half of autumn.

Is it worth going
According to reviews, Grigoleti is a pleasant provincial Georgian resort without hustle and bustle. Here fresh sea air is mixed with the scent of pine trees. The E70 highway laid along the village does not in the least interfere with a quiet rest by the sea. On the contrary, you can take a minibus and arrive in Poti in 25 minutes. The road to the entertainment of the resort Batumi takes less than an hour.
