Where is the best place to book
So, you are going to have a rest on your own in Crimea. Tickets have been purchased, the resort has been selected, the route has been developed. It remains, perhaps, one of the most important - to find inexpensive but pleasant housing in Crimea.
Of course, you can stay in an expensive all-inclusive hotel, where there will be helpful staff, daily cleaning and other benefits. However, most tourists still prefer the private sector. Why? It is cheaper and more sincere: the atmosphere is homey, there is a shared kitchen, you can chat with neighbors and chat with the hosts. Among homeowners, there are often people who love their land. They will always tell you something informative about the resort and its surroundings, and also explain how to get to the most interesting places in Crimea. In Crimea, there are a lot of inexpensive housing in the private sector: someone is looking for the old-fashioned way on the spot, and someone is booking in advance.
After a number of unpleasant situations, we now always book accommodation in the private sector in Crimea in advance. We are looking for the Hotelluk service. We recommend this particular service, because it works steadily with Crimea and finds hotels and guest houses at the best price and with discounts. There are also many proven accommodation with real reviews on the popular Sutochno.ru service. Check out the accommodations on both sites and choose which one you like best. 5 reasons to book accommodation in Crimea in advance:
- Imagine how you will be in the heat (or at dusk) with your luggage and, God forbid, look for housing with your child, not knowing the city? And with the existing reservation, you can simply give the address to the taxi driver.
- You won't get a pig in a poke - you yourself will choose the right accommodation.
- When choosing on the site, you can read the reviews of other guests.
- Accommodation is booked without intermediaries in the form of realtors and other "assistants", you will not be charged an extra penny.
- It is almost always cheaper - the hosts make discounts on booking sites, since the competition is high. But if you come to the owner "hot", he will tell you the usual or overpriced - such is the mentality. We have checked this more than once: the price of the owner can be almost doubled.
Safe Accommodation Rules
There are special people in Crimea, they don't get along very well with the Internet and do not seem to live in the 21st century. We have encountered this several times and experienced the full range of emotions. Let's talk about some of the nuances of booking housing in the private sector in Crimea - what you should be ready for and how to safely rent housing.
Do not book your accommodation day in and day out. Better - in a week or a month, but as a last resort - in a day. The owners in Crimea are irresponsible: it is quite possible that the room will not be ready for your arrival and you will be offered a more expensive one.
ALWAYS call the hosts and confirm your booking. It so happens that the ad is on the site, but the owner is in another city or country and cannot accept you. This happens with housing in small villages - we have such a story happened in Olenevka and Kach.
Check with the owner for the address of the accommodation - it is not always correct on the booking site.
If you come by car, check with the owner, is there parking and where it is. For example, on the South Coast, the streets are narrow and the sections are small. Some have private parking inside the courtyard, someone offers to park a car next to the house on the street, and someone generally on a guarded paid parking in the city, although they promised to provide a place - and this happens! We faced this in Alushta and Sudak.
Consider that on weekend tourists come from the Krasnodar Territory, the Crimeans themselves also have a rest, so it becomes more difficult to find housing in the private sector.
Many towns are hilly... If you find it difficult to climb a hill, look for accommodation on level ground and as close to the sea as possible.
If you do decided to look for housing on the spot, we advise you not to settle for the first option that will be offered at the bus station or at the airport - compare a few. Bargain, especially if you are going to live long. Walk around the area where you would like to live and consider options consistently. It is not difficult to find rented housing in the private sector - there are signs with announcements on every second house.
